About Krista

Krista is a music educator, collaborative songwriter, and choral arranger who helps students and aspiring musicians create music that truly resonates. With over a decade of experience teaching thousands of students in New York City public schools, private lessons, and choral programs, she blends strong musical foundations with creativity, collaboration, and mentorship.

​

Through her work with learners of all ages and backgrounds, Krista noticed a common thread: whether a parent was enrolling a child in piano lessons or an adult decided to join her choir, beyond mastering skills or achieving goals, they were all seeking musical fulfillment, which is the joy, connection, and satisfaction that comes from creating and performing music that feels meaningful. Helping others experience this is at the heart of her work.

 

This insight inspired her to found Kreate Music, a space where creativity can flourish and students are supported through 1:1 mentorship, collaborative songwriting, and immersive programs designed to develop musical skill, artistic voice, and lasting connection to music.​
