WRITE. RECORD. RELEASE. PERFORM.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your child to turn their imagination into a song they are proud to share with the world and will treasure for life.

Songwriters' ACCELERATOR

PROGRAM DETAILS

The Songwriters’ Accelerator is a one-of-a-kind, immersive creative program where kids of any musical experience co-write and record their own original song, release it on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, and culminate the journey with a live showcase performance backed by a professional band for family and friends.

This is more than a traditional music education and enrichment program.
It is the moment a child realizes their voice matters.

How the Songwriters' Accelerator Works

The Songwriters’ Accelerator is built on three core pillars that make this experience unlike any traditional music class.

PILLAR 1
Collaboration

This program is rooted in creative partnership. Each student co-writes their own original song with Krista, actively shaping the lyrics, melody, and emotional direction from beginning to end. Every participant receives 50 percent official songwriting credit, reinforcing true creative ownership.

Students also collaborate with fellow young artists their age in virtual group sessions, sharing ideas and learning in a supportive and inspiring environment. During their professional studio recording session, they work alongside industry professionals and gain firsthand insight into how music is recorded and produced.

In addition, parents receive guidance and support in registering their child as an official U.S. songwriter through a Performing Rights Organization, ensuring their creative work is properly credited and protected.

PILLAR 2
Pedagogy

Through a child-centered, experiential approach, students are guided through the full ecosystem of music creation in a way that honors their individuality and creative voice.

Participants learn:

  • The art and structure of songwriting

  • Vocal technique and recording preparation

  • How songs are arranged and produced

  • The fundamentals of music business, royalties, and how music is released

Instruction prioritizes process over performance, creative exploration over perfection, and ownership over imitation. By placing musical fulfillment as the goal, kids have the space to create music that feeds their own soul, rather than creating for validation. Students are not asked to fit into a formula. They are supported in developing their own artistic identity, and connecting with their authenticity.

PILLAR 3
Immersion

Immersion is at the heart of the Songwriters’ Accelerator. Students don’t just learn about music. They become musicians.

Music is a language, and the best way to learn it is by actively creating it. Through the Songwriters’ Accelerator, students experience the full cycle of music creation, from co-writing lyrics and melodies and shaping arrangements to recording in a professional studio, rehearsing with a live professional band, and performing their original song on stage.

By engaging directly in the creative process, kids naturally develop essential skills such as vocal technique, timing and rhythm, understanding melody and song structure, and expressive performance. Every step is hands on. Young songwriters learn by doing, building confidence, artistic ownership, and pride in creating something uniquely their own.

THE GOAL
Musical Fulfillment

The three pillars come together to create the magic of the Songwriters’ Accelerator which is the deep fulfillment that comes from turning an idea into art and when a child transforms from student to artist.

The Process

PART 1: WRITE

Through three virtual one-on-one co-writing sessions with Krista and four virtual collaborative group workshops, each child brings their original song to life. Students explore the art of songwriting through creative exercises such as idea mapping, rhyming games, and vocal improvisation, discovering their unique creative process along the way.

Students refine lyrics and melody in private sessions and share works in progress during supportive songwriting circles that spark inspiration and growth. Once the song is complete, each child contributes ideas to their final arrangement, which is professionally produced and recorded with a live band as the backing track for their vocals.

The finished arrangement is transcribed into professionally prepared sheet music for students to take home at the end of the program, with your child credited as an official songwriter.

PART 2: RECORD

A live band of professional musicians records your child’s song as a custom backing track for their vocals.

Each child then receives a private two-hour recording session in a professional studio in Midtown, Manhattan, with the entire family invited to be part of the process. Many times, siblings and parents end up singing background vocals or contributing creative ideas, making it an experience the whole family gets to share.

During the session, Krista provides personalized vocal coaching while our producer and recording engineer, Gennaro, guides students and families through the art of recording and music production. He meets each child’s curiosity with mentorship, sharing as much of the process as they are interested in, from how the studio was built and soundproofed to how tracks are layered, mixed, and brought to life using professional recording techniques.

PART 3: RELEASE

Students learn about the release process through a kid-friendly music business workshop, while parents receive guidance on navigating distribution and advocating for their child’s creative rights.

Together, students collaborate on the final album name and cover concept, and explore how music rights and royalties work. They also learn how streaming generates income and how that income can create impact.

As part of this project, 100 percent of streaming royalties are directed to the Kreate Music Impact Fund. Students brainstorm and vote on causes the project will support, learning firsthand how their creativity can extend beyond music and contribute to something meaningful.

PART 4: LIVE CONCERT

Screenshot 2026-02-19 at 4.18.50 PM.png

Students have the incredible opportunity of performing their original song live at a Manhattan venue, backed by a professional band of seasoned musicians. Each young songwriter rehearses in a professional studio setting, working closely with a live band while receiving vocal coaching and artistic direction from Krista. Throughout the rehearsal process, students refine their performance, build confidence, and prepare to take the stage at our live Songwriters’ Showcase Concert featuring your child and the band in a fully produced performance experience. Beyond the thrill of performing their own music, students develop essential instinctual musical skills that can be gained through real world immersion, including timing, microphone technique, pitch accuracy, stage presence, musical communication, and ensemble collaboration.

✅ Who this is for

The Songwriters’ Accelerator is for children ages 6–10 of any musical background or ability who feel drawn to creating something of their own.

Some may be brand new to music. Others may already have years of experience. Both will thrive here. This program is designed for:

✨ Kids who are imaginative, expressive, and full of ideas
✨ Kids who want to turn their thoughts and feelings into something real
✨ Kids who light up when given space to create
✨ Kids who are open to collaborating and sharing in a supportive community

There is no talent requirement and no experience requirement — only a willingness to participate and explore.

It’s also for families who:

💛 Value the arts and see music as an important part of a child’s development
💛 Appreciate experiential, child-centered education
💛 Believe in collaboration over competition
💛 Value the creative process just as much as the final product
💛 Feel inspired by being part of a collective mission through the Kreate Music Impact Fund

❌Who this is not for

✖️ Your child is younger than 6 or older than 10.
Children under the age of 6 are encouraged to begin with 1:1 lessons where they can build foundational music skills and confidence before participating in a collaborative program like this. Students over the age of 10 may be a better fit for the Solo Artist Accelerator, an invite-only program for students enrolled in 1:1 lessons or who have participated in at least one cohort of the Songwriters' Accelerator.

✖️ Your primary goal is earning income from streaming or publishing royalties.
Each child receives 50% official songwriting credit and will be credited as a songwriter upon release. However, all publishing and streaming royalties from this project are directed to the Kreate Music Impact Fund, making every participating family part of a shared mission to spread positive impact through music. Families whose primary goal is ownership of royalties may be a better fit for the Solo Artist Accelerator, which is specifically designed to help artists retain 100% of their streaming royalties and  master and publishing rights.

✖️ You are looking for a competitive environment for your child. This program is rooted in collaboration, encouragement, and celebrating the unique voice of each child.

Families who feel most aligned believe that the greatest reward is not just a finished song — but the confidence, growth, and fulfillment that happen along the way.

"Kreate Music's songwriting program is fun, authentic, and stimulating! Krista brings out the creativity of the little songwriters and lets them have a taste of professional songwriting which is one of the best experiences!"

-Jean K.

Royalties With Purpose

At Kreate Music, we value using creativity to make a positive impact and believe that when young artists understand the power of their voice, they can use it as an agent for good in the world. 100% of streaming royalties from projects part of the Songwriters' Accelerator go directly to our program's internal initiative, the Kreate Music Impact Fund, creating a ripple effect of change through student scholarships, support for local public school programs, creative projects, and other causes our community cares about. Every time someone listens to our original music, they help us multiply the positivity and creativity that flows from our students' songs into the communities around them.

This belief shapes everything we do, from creating music to teaching our young songwriters about the release process and the music business. Students learn how streaming works, what royalties are, and how from each listen, a fraction of a penny is earned and has the potential to contribute to real-world impact. Together, we brainstorm causes our students care about and create real-world goals based on their creative output.

Our mission at Kreate Music is to empower the next generation of young artists through authentic, real-world, experiential learning and collaboration. The Kreate Music Impact Fund further empowers these young musicians to use their voice as an agent for good. We are always looking for ways to spread the music, using this fund as an opportunity to not only prepare our young artists for today’s music industry, but also to extend the positive impact this program has had on our students.

In this way, students don’t just learn about music and the industry...
they experience how their artistry can make a difference.

By streaming their songs, a small royalty is earned.
By earning royalties, goals are created.
By reaching goals, kids witness their creativity turning into generosity.
By being generous, they learn what it means to use their voice for good.

This is the essence of the Kreate Music Impact Fund.

Empowering young creators to understand their impact, share their music with purpose, and make a positive difference in the communities that shape them.
